Atiku Urges Urgent Rescue of Abducted NYSC Prospects and Other Travellers in Imo
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called on the Federal Government, Imo State Government and security agencies to secure the release of travellers abducted in Imo State, including prospective NYSC members. He said 20 travellers were abducted and that, while some victims had been rescued, others remained in captivity. He also urged authorities not to forget pupils and students abducted in Mussa and Lassa, Borno State, saying more than 70 were still being held. Atiku criticised the Federal Government’s response to insecurity and called for clearer updates to affected families. He said protecting lives must remain the government’s foremost responsibility.
