Udinese Coach Blames Okoye-Bertola Mix-Up for Torino Defeat

Udinese coach Kosta Runjaic says a communication breakdown between Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and Nicolò Bertola cost his side a point in their 2-1 Serie A loss to Torino. Okoye rushed out to claim the ball but collided with Bertola, leaving the goal unprotected. Torino substitute Sandro Kulenović tapped in the decisive goal in the 67th minute. Runjaic said the error was part of a recent pattern of poor awareness, aggression and communication in the team. He believes the match would likely have ended in a draw without the mistake.
