Wike Says He Will Not Leave Rivers Politics to Chance Ahead of 2027

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says his frequent visits to Rivers State do not mean he is relocating from Abuja ahead of the 2027 elections. He said he is returning home to stay connected with his political base and personally monitor developments in the state. According to him, he cannot rely only on assurances from associates while political activities continue. Wike said the 2027 contest is too important for him to remain passive in Abuja, adding that he would not allow Atiku Abubakar or other opposition figures to gain ground unchecked in Rivers State.
