Tansian University Vice Chancellor Dies Shortly After Assuming Office
The Tansian University community in Umunya, Anambra State, is mourning the death of its newly inaugurated Vice Chancellor, Professor Carter Dike Umeoduagu. The 44-year-old Professor of Microbiology reportedly fell ill and died on October 3, shortly after taking office as the university’s substantive Vice Chancellor. Professor Umeoduagu previously served as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) at Tansian University. He also represented Aguata 1 Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly.
