Barau FC Stay Top of NPFL After 1-1 Draw at Sporting Lagos

Newly promoted Barau FC extended their unbeaten NPFL run to six matches after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Sporting Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Saturday. The Kano-based side came into the match top of the table with 11 points from five games. The draw takes them to 12 points and keeps them at the summit of the early-season standings. Barau are now one of four unbeaten teams in the league, alongside Rangers, Doma United and Rivers United. They will host Nasarawa United next, while Sporting Lagos face Ikorodu City in a Lagos derby.
