Tech Developers Earning Consistently: How Did You Find Your First Paying Clients?
I can build full products, APIs, AI agents, automations and websites. I have also deployed projects, including AI and WhatsApp systems for businesses. My challenge is turning those technical skills into consistent income. Finding a serious opportunity has been much harder than building the product itself, despite applying for jobs, seeking freelance gigs, doing outreach and building projects. For developers who started with little or no network, how did you earn your first $500, $1,000 or more from tech? Did the opportunity come through freelancing, cold outreach, consulting, a startup, referrals, SaaS, agencies or joining someone else's project? I am looking for practical insight on the distribution and networking side. I would also appreciate leads on communities, founders, agencies or startups that need developers or AI builders.
