How God Proved His Mockers Wrong at Calvary

The soldiers treated him with cold cruelty. They killed him in the most gruesome way, then divided his clothes and cast lots for his garments (Mark 15:24). One can only hope they repented afterward. Even the chief priests and teachers of the law joined the mockers (Mark 15:31). How much worse could it get? Yet the story did not end there. After Jesus died, darkness covered the land and the curtain of the Holy of Holies tore from top to bottom (Mark 15:38). His body was wrapped in linen and laid in a tomb. Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph witnessed where he was placed. The enemy thought it was over, but he was gravely mistaken. May Jehovah continue to silence our mockers and bring glory to his name. Amen.
