US Lobbyist Urges Trump to Probe Tinubu’s PFIPC Scheme and Gbajabiamila
A US-based lobbyist has called on President Trump and Congress to investigate allegations that a fictitious agency in Nigeria, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, diverted US-linked funding. He claims PFIPC received a N1.3 billion budget allocation and that senior officials, including Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, demanded about N600 million in kickbacks. The lobbyist also cited Gbajabiamila’s 2007 suspension by the Georgia Supreme Court for misusing client funds. He is pushing US authorities to review World Bank projects and possible election interference. Meanwhile, Nigerian police have charged a suspect in Abuja over forged PFIPC documents. The case is scheduled for July 27.
