Men: What Life Lessons Have You Learned as You Get Older?

As I get older, I have come to believe that men should first build stable lives before taking on the responsibility of helping others. I also think unresolved childhood trauma can eventually affect relationships, decisions and personal growth. In relationships, I believe it is important to choose a partner based on character, independence and shared values, rather than physical appearance alone. Financial responsibility and avoiding relationships that become a constant burden also matter. I have also learned that hard work is not always enough. Useful skills, strong networks and leaving one’s comfort zone can create more opportunities. For people from poor backgrounds, learning and mastering a practical trade or skill may provide a path to financial stability before pursuing further education. These are personal opinions, not universal rules. What important lesson has life taught you as you have grown older?
