DStv and GOtv subscribers in Nigeria and other African countries have reported delays in activating paid subscriptions, leaving some unable to watch live football as the 2026/2027 English Premier League season began. Several customers said they renewed ahead of the weekend fixtures but their payments did not reflect immediately. Some decoders reportedly displayed activation errors despite successful debits. Complaints were also reported in Ghana and Kenya, where customers said payment channels and support lines were unavailable. MultiChoice had not issued a detailed public explanation for the reported service disruption at the time of the report.
