Tinubu Welcomes Coca-Cola’s Proposed $1bn Investment in Nigeria
President Bola Tinubu says Nigeria is working to create a more predictable and competitive environment for local and foreign investors. He spoke at Nigerian Bottling Company’s 75th anniversary event in Abuja. The President welcomed the Coca-Cola System’s proposed $1 billion investment in Nigeria over five years. He said investments should create jobs, build skills, increase local sourcing, transfer technology and expand domestic manufacturing. Tinubu said the government would continue reforms aimed at improving infrastructure, regulations, ports, logistics, foreign-exchange access and tax policies. He added that Nigerian Bottling Company’s new production lines in Oyo and Kano states reflect the type of long-term investment the country needs.
