Akor Adams Features as Venezia Suffer Sixth Straight Serie A Defeat

Super Eagles forward Akor Adams featured for Venezia in their 3-1 Serie A loss to Atalanta, their sixth consecutive league defeat. Atalanta raced into a three-goal lead through Franck Kessie and a Nikola Krstovic brace. Venezia pulled one back before half-time through Antoine Hainaut, but could not mount a comeback. Venezia remain bottom of the Serie A table without a point after six matches. Adams has made six league appearances and scored once since joining the club from Sevilla in the summer. The striker recently scored for Nigeria in the Super Eagles' 3-3 friendly draw with Russia.
