Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye made five saves as Udinese began their Serie A campaign with a 1-1 home draw against Como. Hassane Kamara gave Udinese the lead in the 29th minute, lifting his effort over goalkeeper Jean Butez after receiving a well-weighted pass in the box. Como equalised in the second half through Anastasios Douvikas, who scored from close range after a rebound. Okoye produced several important stops thereafter to help Udinese avoid defeat and claim their first point of the season.
