Why I Believe Revelation 13 Speaks to Present-Day Spiritual Deception

Two developments have troubled me in this season: the growing boldness with which some people mock Jesus and Christianity, and the increasing focus on rivers and water rituals by self-styled spiritual figures. As I reflected on these issues, I turned to Revelation 13:1-8. I believe the passage warns about deception, blasphemy and spiritual powers that seek to mislead believers. In my view, Christians should remain prayerful, grounded in Scripture and careful about teachings or miracles that may lead people away from their faith. I pray that believers will not be deceived and will remain steadfast in Christ.
