Army Activates 28 Armoured Brigade in Kebbi, Promises Stronger Security Response
The Nigerian Army has operationalised the 28 Armoured Brigade and Garrison in Birnin Kebbi, alongside the 281 Tank Battalion in Yauri and 381 Artillery Regiment in Kaoje. The new formations are expected to expand the Army’s presence, improve command coordination and shorten response times to security threats across Kebbi State and the wider North-West. Army authorities said troops must uphold professionalism, follow the rules of engagement and protect law-abiding residents. They also assured Jandutse community of increased military presence after a recent bandit attack that claimed a resident’s life.
