NNL Shifts 2026/27 Season Opener Between Heartland and Crown FC to November 1

The Nigeria National League has moved the opening match of the 2026/27 season between Heartland of Owerri and Crown FC of Ogbomoso from October 31 to Sunday, November 1. The Conference A fixture will be played at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri. The league said the change was necessary because of important state events scheduled for the stadium on the original date. Other opening fixtures in Conferences A, B, C and D will go ahead as scheduled on November 7 and 8 across the country. The NNL apologised to both clubs and their supporters, saying the adjustment will help ensure a successful season launch.
