Osun Police Arrest Park Management Figure Over Alleged Link to Emir Ajagungbade’s Death

Osun State Police Command operatives have arrested Waliyu Adejare, popularly known as JayJay, over an alleged connection to the death of Olalekan Oyeyemi, also known as Emir Ajagungbade. Adejare was reportedly arrested in Osogbo on September 24 after residents of the Oke Baale area alerted police to his presence. Officers from the Anti-Cultism Unit reportedly moved in and apprehended him after he allegedly tried to flee. Emir Ajagungbade was killed in Ile-Ife about two weeks earlier amid a reported leadership dispute within the Osun State Park Management System. Police had not issued a further response at the time of the report. The allegations against Adejare have not been proven in court.
