Super Falcons Begin Receiving ₦134m Each for 2025 WAFCON Triumph

Super Falcons players have begun receiving the $100,000 reward promised by President Bola Tinubu after Nigeria won the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. The payment is valued at about ₦134.45 million per player. Nigeria secured a record-extending 10th WAFCON title after coming from two goals down to beat hosts Morocco 3-2 in the July 2025 final. Captain Rasheedat Ajibade thanked the President for fulfilling the pledge, describing it as recognition of the team’s achievement. The National Sports Commission said the reward reflects continued support for Nigerian athletes who excel internationally.
