FCT Police Deny Viral Claim of Widespread Kidney Sales Among Abuja-Area Youths

The FCT Police Command has dismissed a viral social-media claim that most young people in Nyanya, Mararaba, Karu and nearby communities sold their kidneys for money. The claim alleged that police had confirmed widespread organ sales and that a buyer was operating in Mararaba. Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh said the command neither received nor confirmed any such report. Residents have been urged to ignore unverified posts that could cause panic. However, the command asked anyone with credible information about suspected organ trafficking or other security threats to report it to the nearest police station.
