Rev. Omolehin: No Single ‘Father’ of Nigerian Christianity, Denominational Leaders Only

Rev. Isaac Omolehin of The Word Assembly Churches says Nigeria lacks a unifying spiritual father. In a recent sermon, he argued that popular pastors like Enoch Adeboye, William Kumuyi and others lead only their own denominations. He criticised rivalry among church heads over megachurch expansions and personal wealth as lacking true spiritual purpose. Omolehin affirmed the respect due to these figures but pointed out they cannot speak for all Christians. He urged the emergence of a leader who transcends denominational lines to represent believers across Roman Catholic, Anglican, Methodist, Apostolic and other traditions.
