Rising Star Shakirat Moshood Joins SCU Torreense on Two-Year Deal
Falconets midfielder Shakirat Moshood has signed a two-year contract with Portuguese club SCU Torreense. The 18-year-old leaves Bayelsa Queens after establishing herself as one of Nigeria’s brightest young talents. Moshood made her mark as captain of the Flamingos at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, earning praise for her leadership and midfield prowess. She went on to finish as runner-up in the 2025 CAF Women’s Youth Player of the Year award. Continuing her progression with the Falconets, Moshood played a key role in Nigeria’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. She now joins an ambitious SCU Torreense side preparing for its first appearance in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
