Doubting Thomas Meets the Risen Christ (John 20:24-29)
Thomas was absent when the risen Jesus first appeared to the other disciples. They told him, “We have seen the Lord,” but he insisted on touching Jesus’ wounds before he would believe. A week later, the disciples met behind locked doors and Thomas was with them. Jesus suddenly stood among them and invited Thomas to examine his hands and side, urging him to stop doubting and believe. Overwhelmed, Thomas proclaimed, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus then blessed all who trust without seeing. This passage highlights faith, doubt, and the blessing of believing in Christ’s resurrection.
