Bandits Raid Aluta Bar in Kogi, Kill Customer and Abduct Two Staff
Suspected bandits stormed Aluta Bar Relaxation in Oke-Ijumu, Ijumu LGA of Kogi State on the night of Saturday, June 6. They opened fire on patrons, killing one customer and wounding several others. The attackers kidnapped the bar manager and a female sales attendant before fleeing. Security forces arrived shortly after and clashed with the assailants, forcing them to retreat into nearby forests. Intelligence indicates some of the bandits were wounded during the exchange. The Kogi State Government confirmed the attack and said the military, police, vigilante service and local hunters have intensified efforts to rescue the abducted staff. Residents are urged to report anyone with suspicious gunshot wounds or seeking treatment for firearms injuries.
