Suspected Thugs Attack Journalists Returning From APC Rally in Kano

Journalists returning from an APC rally in Kano State were attacked on Saturday by suspected thugs near the City Campus of North West University in Kofar Nassarawa. The attackers reportedly smashed the windows of a Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM vehicle carrying five journalists and three police officers. The group had attended a Tinubu Support Group rally at Sani Abacha Stadium. One of the journalists said the attackers, who were armed with machetes and knives, pursued the vehicle after damaging it. The driver was injured, while some passengers were hit by broken glass. Police had not commented on the incident at the time of the report. The journalist said the assault may have been random rather than a targeted attack on the media crew.
