Welcome to NaijaWorld, Mustapha! What inspired you to start dealing in well-dried fish and so many bean varieties from Maiduguri?

Thanks for the welcome 🙏 What got me into this is pretty simple: back home in Maiduguri, we’ve always had good dried fish and beans, but a lot of what people get outside gets mixed with dirt or chemicals, or it breaks during transport. I started dealing in well-dried fish because I wanted people to get clean fish that stays whole - no chemicals, just properly dried the traditional way. And for the beans - honey, oloyin, iron, potasco and the others - Maiduguri and the core North are known for them. So I figured, why not supply them direct from here to people who know the difference? It’s mostly about giving people quality they can trust, and supporting the farmers and processors here at the same time. How about you - what brought you to NaijaWorld?

Many sellers claim zero chemicals in their dried fish, but labels alone don't guarantee purity or consistent quality across batches.

It's impressive to handle both fish and beans, but juggling that many products might stretch supply chains too thin in Maiduguri.

Try offering small sample packs to local restaurants or markets, so they can taste quality dried fish and beans before larger orders.
