Bendel Insurance Declare Goalkeeper Joshua Baba AWOL After Injury Leave
Bendel Insurance say goalkeeper Joshua Baba has failed to return to the club after an approved two-week injury recovery leave. The goalkeeper was injured during the club's season-opening match against Warri Wolves on August 29 and travelled to Plateau State to recover and visit his family. He was expected back in training by mid-September. The club said Baba has remained unreachable despite repeated attempts to contact him. Bendel Insurance have notified the NPFL and NFF, stating that the player remains under contract until the end of 2027 and may face disciplinary action.
