OAUSTECH ASUU Begins Indefinite Strike Over Unimplemented 2025 Agreement
The Academic Staff Union of Universities at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, has begun a total and indefinite strike over the Ondo State Government’s alleged failure to implement the 2025 Federal Government-ASUU agreement. ASUU chairman, Dr Oluwatoyin Ogunbamike, said the disputed agreement covers a 40% salary adjustment, Earned Academic Allowance, Consolidated Academic Tool Allowance, professorial and responsibility allowances, supervision allowance, and other non-monetary provisions. The action follows a similar indefinite strike already declared by ASUU at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, over the same concerns. The union said the strike will continue until the state government acts.
