NNPC Restricts ₦66-Per-Litre Petrol Discount to Payments Made Through Its App
NNPC says motorists can access its ₦66-per-litre petrol discount only by paying through the NNPC Fuel App at its retail outlets. The discount is part of the Federal Government’s 30-day fuel price relief measure, aimed particularly at easing costs for commercial transport operators. The offer, initially scheduled for October 1 to 7, has been extended until October 31, 2026. NNPC says the app-only payment method will help prevent abuse and ensure the discount reaches intended customers. However, some Nigerians have raised concerns that motorists without smartphones or digital-payment skills may be excluded.
