Rita Edochie Challenges Judy Austin to Produce Marriage Certificate in Legal Dispute
Actress Rita Edochie has responded to a lawsuit reportedly filed against her by Judy Austin over alleged defamatory remarks. Rita said she does not recognise the name “Mrs Judith Yul Edochie” and maintained that May Edochie is the only person she knows by the title Mrs Yul Edochie. She described Judy’s use of the name as provocative and challenged her to produce a marriage certificate before she would respond further. The dispute follows years of public exchanges between Rita and Judy over Judy’s relationship with actor Yul Edochie. Judy is reportedly seeking damages, a retraction, an apology and other reliefs in the suit.
