Lagos, FCT and Ogun Lead Nigeria’s 2026 Healthcare Access Ranking
A 2026 healthcare access ranking places Lagos first with a score of 56.3, followed by the FCT at 55.1 and Ogun at 52.4. Delta, Rivers, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti, Enugu, Anambra, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Kwara and Abia also made the top 16. The ranking considers health-facility density, health-insurance coverage, doctor-to-population ratio, immunisation coverage and maternal health outcomes. The figures offer a snapshot of access, not necessarily the overall quality or affordability of care in each state.
