Stranded Midway as Fuel Runs Out: My Frustrating Trip from Anambra to Imo
I traveled from Anambra to Imo about a month ago. Eighty percent into the journey, our bus stopped and the driver said he had no fuel and was too tired to continue. Passengers were shocked and wondered what would happen to our fare. Out of frustration most people left, but a few of us stayed behind. After much arguing, the driver flagged down another bus and paid for our remaining trip. Just two weeks later, I experienced a similar issue in a keke. I rarely use public transport, yet I’ve now faced this twice. It’s infuriating. Does anyone else deal with drivers running out of fuel mid-route, or is this just where I travel?
