Financial Freedom Starts With Breaking Unnecessary Debt
Uncontrolled borrowing can turn tomorrow’s income into today’s burden. Debt may create anxiety, strain relationships and limit the ability to save, invest or meet important family responsibilities. Proverbs 22:7 reminds us that the borrower can become servant to the lender. Not every loan is wrong, but wisdom is needed. Borrowing to impress others, fund unnecessary spending or repay old loans without a clear plan can create deeper financial pressure. Financial discipline means knowing the difference between needs, wants and social pressure. Take an honest look at what you owe. Avoid unnecessary borrowing, reduce avoidable expenses and create a realistic repayment plan. Seek wise counsel when repayment becomes difficult, and work to increase legitimate income where possible. Lord Jesus Christ, give me wisdom and discipline to manage my finances responsibly. Help me to honour my obligations, live within my means and build financial freedom patiently. Amen.
