13 Rescued, 16 Injured After Residential Building Collapses in Kano

Thirteen people were rescued after a residential building collapsed in the Dan Dishe area of Kwanar Yashi, Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State early on Saturday. The Kano State Fire Service said its emergency team received a distress call at about 4:32am and rushed to the scene. The collapse reportedly left 16 people injured. Ten victims were pulled out alive, while three children were found unconscious and taken for medical attention alongside the other survivors. The cause of the collapse is under investigation. Residents have been urged to report visible structural defects, particularly during the rainy season, to help prevent further incidents.
