Fed Poly Oko Steps Up Security as First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Prepares to Commission Projects
Federal Polytechnic Oko has intensified security and logistical preparations ahead of a scheduled visit by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on September 10, 2026. Rector Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie led the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Nnanna Oji Ama, and other security officials on an inspection of key facilities, access points and movement routes across the campus. The team also assessed the ICT Experience Centre and two other projects expected to be commissioned during the visit. The rector said the institution is ready to host the First Lady, while the police commissioner commended its infrastructure development and efforts against cultism and related crime.
