Anambra NIPR Trains PR Professionals on Reputation, Accountability and Public Trust
The Anambra State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has urged public relations practitioners to take active roles in organisational management and policy decisions. At a one-day hybrid training in Awka, speakers stressed that public trust is built through integrity, responsible communication, employee wellbeing and sustained engagement. They also highlighted the importance of planning, dialogue and credibility in protecting organisational reputation. The training examined PR opportunities in sectors including agriculture, the digital economy, creative industries, tourism and small businesses. Participants were encouraged to move beyond publicity-driven work towards long-term trust building and strategic partnerships.
