Fire Kills Mother and Three Children in Yobe Community
A fire outbreak has killed a woman, Bilkisu, and her three children — Zainab, Hafsat and Salamatu — in Rugar Audu Badali settlement, Karasuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State. The fire reportedly started at about 5pm on Friday, destroying the family home and leaving surviving relatives without shelter. The victims were buried according to Islamic rites. Officials of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency, Karasuwa Local Government and community leaders visited the settlement to assess the damage and console the bereaved family. The agency said survivors need urgent relief materials, temporary shelter and psychological support.
