FG Advances $20bn Nigeria-Europe Gas Pipeline Project
The Federal Government has intensified high-level talks on a $20bn transcontinental gas pipeline to deliver Nigeria’s natural gas to European markets. Spokesperson Louis Ibah said the corridor will transport up to 30 billion cubic metres annually from southern reserves through Chad and Libya to Sicily, Italy and beyond. Minister Ekperikpe Ekpo and NNPC’s Olalekan Ogunleye highlighted investor readiness under the Petroleum Industry Act while project leader Roger Tamraz and other partners stressed its commercial viability and strategic importance for Europe’s energy security.
