Woman Killed, Another Injured in Mangu Village Attack

A woman has been killed and another injured in an attack on Aloghom Village in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. The women were reportedly fetching firewood at about 10:45 a.m. on August 3 when suspected armed attackers struck. Troops from Sector 8 of Operation Enduring Peace responded to a distress call and reportedly forced the assailants to flee. The victims, Priscilia Friday and Anna Obed Joseph, were taken to Allah Nakowa Hospital. Friday was later confirmed dead, while Joseph is receiving treatment. Security operatives have reinforced patrols and launched efforts to trace the suspects.
