Suspected Boko Haram Fighters Kill 15 Farmers, Firewood Gatherers in Borno

At least 15 farmers and firewood gatherers were killed in an attack blamed on suspected Boko Haram fighters in Ala and Musune wards of Marte Local Government Area, Borno State. Police said 18 people had entered the area on Wednesday evening, but 15 bodies were recovered and buried. Three others were still missing as authorities continued their search. The Borno State Police Command said it was investigating the attack. Amnesty International condemned the killings and urged authorities to strengthen protection for vulnerable communities in the region.
