My Ifa-Based Argument Against Randomness in Evolution and Creation
I question whether speciation and biological change can be explained as entirely random. I argue that environmental pressures, adaptation and observable patterns in nature point to direction or intention rather than chance alone. I compare this view with Adam Smith’s idea of an “invisible hand” and discuss examples such as pigmentation, sickle-cell traits and plant responses to sunlight. I also challenge some common interpretations of natural selection, common ancestry and the relationship between genotype and phenotype. Drawing on Ifa teachings, I present speciation and creation as processes guided by spiritual principles and specific odu. This is a personal philosophical and religious argument intended to invite discussion, not a substitute for established scientific evidence.
