Guimaraes Screamer and Saka Penalty Seal Arsenal’s 2-0 Win Over Sunderland
Arsenal claimed a hard-fought 2-0 Premier League win over Sunderland on Saturday. Bruno Guimaraes broke the deadlock with a superb long-range strike, while Bukayo Saka sealed the result with a late penalty. Arsenal dominated the first half, controlling 75 per cent possession, but Sunderland held firm. Kai Havertz and Gabriel went close, while goalkeeper Robin Roefs made an important save to deny Havertz. Sunderland had a chance to take the lead from the spot in the 54th minute, but David Raya saved Enzo Le Fee’s penalty. Guimaraes then struck in the 58th minute, and Saka converted from the spot in stoppage time after Reinildo Mandava was sent off for a second bookable offence.
