Cameroon midfielder Naomi Eto says the Indomitable Lionesses are prepared to give everything against defending champions Nigeria in Sunday’s WAFCON 2026 quarter-final in Casablanca. The winner will advance to the semi-finals and move closer to securing a place at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Nigeria finished second in Group C after wins over Zambia and Egypt, while Cameroon topped Group D unbeaten. Eto acknowledged Nigeria’s pedigree in women’s football but said Cameroon are focused on their own ambitions. She believes their tactical preparation and football’s unpredictability can make the difference. “Nigeria has great qualities, but a match is played on the pitch,” Eto said.
