Anambra Launches Official State Email Domain to Strengthen Cybersecurity

Anambra Launches Official State Email Domain to Strengthen Cybersecurity

The Anambra State Government has rolled out a unified official email domain for all ministries, departments and agencies. This move aims to standardise communication and protect official correspondence from impersonation. Coordinated by the State ICT Agency, the initiative includes account provisioning, identity verification, staff sensitisation and technical support. It will improve cybersecurity, enhance accountability and build citizen confidence that messages truly come from the government. The project aligns with Nigeria’s National Second Level Domain Policy and supports Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of “Everything Technology, Technology Everywhere.” It also advances the ICT Agency’s roadmap toward becoming an AI-First native agency.

Not sure a single domain solves real impersonation risks without stronger authentication measures beyond just naming conventions.
