Mother Arrested After Allegedly Beheading Boyfriend Over Child Abuse Suspicion
Paula Ellen Neves da Silva, 24, was arrested on suspicion of beheading her new boyfriend in her home. Officers discovered the victim’s head in a rucksack and his body in the bathroom. Paula’s mother called police after her daughter confessed by phone and sent graphic photos. Paula told detectives she attacked Daniel dos Santos after she thought he was abusing her two-year-old son. She said she was pretending to sleep when she saw him open the child’s nappy. The incident occurred in Itaquaquecetuba, on the outskirts of São Paulo, in the early hours of March 29. Police say the suspect cleaned the scene and the weapon before they arrived. She remains in custody as the murder investigation continues.
