Baba-Ahmed: Tinubu Will Lose 2027 Poll if It Is Free and Fair

PRP National Chairman Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has said President Bola Tinubu would lose the 2027 presidential election if the poll is credible, free and fair. Speaking on a television political programme, Baba-Ahmed cited the Osun governorship election as evidence that the APC can be defeated without opposition parties forming a coalition. He argued that the party’s control of the presidency, National Assembly and many state governments does not guarantee victory. He described the APC as deeply divided and said INEC should not be commended until it conducts a credible election in which the sitting president is a candidate. Baba-Ahmed warned that a flawed 2027 election could pose a serious threat to Nigeria’s democracy.
