Kidnapping of Pupils and Teachers in Oyo: Ohanaeze Calls for Stronger Security
Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide’s Oyo chapter has condemned the recent abduction of pupils, students and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area. The group described the attack as a painful blow to education, human lives and peaceful living in Yawota and Ahoro-Esinele communities. The association also condemned the reported killing of a mathematics teacher and the deaths of security personnel during rescue efforts. It warned against sharing sensitive details that could hamper rescue operations and demanded swift action to free the abducted and bring the perpetrators to justice.
