The Christian’s Unavoidable Strait of Hormuz: Faith Through Trials
Anchor Scripture: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned.” — Isaiah 43:2 For every Christian, there may be a difficult season that feels like an unavoidable Strait of Hormuz: a passage marked by fear, pressure and uncertainty. Like the valley of the shadow of death, it can test faith and tempt believers to compromise their convictions. These trials may appear as pressure at work, financial hardship, sickness, family challenges or attacks on one’s peace. The enemy may offer sinful shortcuts as an escape route, but Christians are called to remain steadfast and refuse compromise. God’s promise is that He will be present through every storm. This difficult passage is only a phase. With faith, prayer and endurance, believers can come through it safely in the name of Jesus.
