Rufai Oseni: Was APC’s Call for Jonathan’s Resignation Also ‘Childish’?

Rufai Oseni: Was APC’s Call for Jonathan’s Resignation Also ‘Childish’?

Media personality Rufai Oseni has challenged presidential aide Bayo Onanuga after he called Peter Obi’s demand for President Tinubu’s resignation “childish”. Obi had urged Tinubu to resign over perceived governance failures and rising insecurity. Onanuga argued that Nigeria’s presidential system cannot be compared with the UK’s parliamentary model. He dismissed Obi’s call as hollow and ill-informed. Speaking on Arise News, Oseni pointed out that the All Progressives Congress once demanded former President Goodluck Jonathan’s resignation under similar conditions. He asked whether that past stance could also be described as “childish”.

It's funny that those quick to label Obi's request childish seemed silent when similar calls targeted past presidents.

I'm not convinced this criticism isn't just another way to distract from real policy shortcomings under Tinubu's administration.
