Yobe Police Rescue Four Teenage Girls from Kidnappers in Fika
Yobe State police operatives, working with local vigilantes, have safely rescued four teenage girls abducted in Didim Village, Fika Local Government Area. The PPRO reported that armed men seized the victims, aged 15–17, on June 28. Officers from Kukar Gadu Outstation swiftly launched a rescue operation with reinforcements from the divisional headquarters. All four girls were found unharmed and taken to Kukar Gadu Primary Health Care Centre for medical checks. They have since been reunited with their families. The Commissioner of Police has ordered continued intelligence-led efforts to apprehend the suspects and urged residents to provide any information on suspicious activities.
