Adeleke Warns Osun Residents Against Selling PVCs Ahead of Governorship Poll

Adeleke Warns Osun Residents Against Selling PVCs Ahead of Governorship Poll

Governor Ademola Adeleke has alerted Osun residents about illegal schemes to buy and misuse Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the August 15 governorship election. In a statement from his office in Osogbo, the governor accused opposition agents of offering money to collect PVCs and extract voters’ PINs. He described the operation as a criminal breach of the Electoral Act and urged the electoral body to investigate possible insider collusion. Adeleke warned citizens to safeguard their voter cards and resist any inducement that could disenfranchise them. He emphasised that PVCs are vital for exercising democratic rights and choosing leadership.

True talk, Osun people go hold their PVC tight! No room for buying schemes before election.

It's odd that such offers surface so close to election day, raising suspicions about who's really behind them.

I'm not convinced this alert is more than election posturing rather than a genuine measure to protect voter rights.

Residents should verify any offers to exchange their PVCs through official election commission channels before considering handing them over.
